Cowboys fall short on last effort as Giants move on to face Packers - NFL Football Recap Links6
This was an evenly fought battle between two very well balanced offenses that allowed their respective offensive coordinators many options with the play-calling. Like heavyweight fighters, the Cowboys and Giants exchanged body blows for most of the game. As the game went on, Dallas could not capitalize on some single coverage on the backend, having an increasingly difficult time protecting ... [link]

... The Result: Fail Level of Failure: Pretty High Great game from top to bottom. Killer penalties, heroes, goats, a rabid Texas crowd. I found myself rooting for both teams so many times throughout the course of this heated bout. The Twist: Eli Manning's second straight playoff road win propels the Giants to an unlikely upset over the Cowboys! Eli's headed to the NFC title game while brother Peyton sits on the couch next week. Un-real. The Funny: The AP game recap lead... Tony Romo can go wherever he wants with Jessica Simpson ...

Football's Final Four

... The Giants went into Dallas to close out the weekend, and upended a team they had lost to twice already. Eli Manning finally surpassed his brother, scoring an upset just after Peyton's team had just finished being upset. Once again, both teams played great ball, Dallas had a chance to win it in the final minute, but New York stepped up and will head to Lambeau next week. ...

Bulltet points for what you missed while dreaming of being the younger Manning for a change... With Heatley out 4-6 weeks, Spezza goes down too, and the Isles take advantage and beat the Sens 3-1. Sens Army holds its breath wating for news; The Oil get back to .500 with a 2-1 win over the Flames; Leafs Nation gets kicked in the groin while down. TMS is still in denial about Saturday night. Let's hope it was an aberration. Hahaha. Jekyll and Hyde indeed.

It appears Eli moves on, and older brother Peyton gets booted. It is believed that the Cowboys were looking forward to move on and to face a explosive Green Bay offense, but their journey fell short Sunday night in the NFC Division title game. Cowboys Loss Ensures No Matchup of #1 Seeds in Super Bowl Since 1993
With the Cowboys loss to the Giants today , it marks the 16th straight season that the top seeds in the AFC and NFC won't meet in the Super Bowl. The last time both top seeds made the Super Bowl was the Bills and Cowboys back in Super Bowl XXVIII (the 1993 season). Since then, at least one of the top seeds has gone down prior to the big game. Not sure what Coughlin was thinking
On the Giants' second drive, they faced a fourth-and-inches at the Cowboys' 44-yard line. Up to that point, Giants running backs had gains of 5, 10, 5, 1, 0, 9, 11 and 8 yards. Tom Coughlin elected to punt, and the Cowboys tied the game on a 96-yard touchdown drive. I just thought it would've been a great time to show some confidence in his offense. Five Keys to the Cowboys Beating the Giants Sunday
Here’s how I envision the way in which Dallas can defeat the Giants for yet a third time this season: 1. Establish the running game . With three Pro-Bowlers anchoring one of the biggest and best OL’s in the NFL, this should not be a problem. C Andre Gurode ...

Giants vs. Cowboys: The Difference Between Then and Now
In the past two match-ups between the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants, the Cowboys have come out on top, winning both games by scores of 35-45 and 20-31. One thing can be said about both games: they were neck-and-neck for some time and easily could have gone either way. This is evidenced in the halftime scores of both games. In game one it was 17-16 at half in favor of the Cowboys. In ...
