In conjunction with the arrival of Dan Patrick to NBC, former ESPN partner Keith Olbermann cracked wise regarding Patrick’s presence on Football Night in America, the one-hour-plus highlights show that precedes the Sunday night game on NBC.

... on “Football Night in America.” The two do highlights together in a way nobody else can. But Mike Florio of PFT makes another good point: the show is now simply too crowded . Peter King fits in nicely as the “reporter guy,” spending only a small chunk of the program on air while working on stories and “Monday Morning Quarterback” the rest of the time. Patrick and Olbermann will become the highlight guys and the entertainers.
