... Complicating things here, of course, is that Wicks didn't lose his mind in a MLS game. He did so in a US Open Cup contest. Cuauhtemoc Blanco was fined $7,500 by MLS for an incident that happened in US Open Cup play last year (he also received a two year ban from US Open Cup play by the USSF) in a game in D.C.. So there is some precedent here. One major difference with yesterday's incident is that few people outside of D.C. ever saw Blanco's temper tantrum .
