Owner Mark Cuban has confirmed that Rick Carlisle will be the next coach of the Dallas Mavericks. Carlisle most recently coached the Detroit Pistons. "Incredibly excited that Rick has come on board," Cuban said on the team's Web site. "His coaching record speaks for itself.
