According to MLBTraderumors.com, the Cubs and Red Sox are discussing a swap of Coco Crisp and Jason Marquis. While I understand the Sox want to give Ellsbury the gig and all... Jason Marquis? Give me a break. This guy barely hangs on to a #5 spot in an NL rotation. Imagine him in the AL? His ERA would balloon and he'd give up about 40 homers on the year. Crisp on the other hand would be a decent addition for the Cubs. I don't see why they don't let Pie have a chance for its unlikely that Crisp would outproduce him by that much.
