USRS1275 I think it is sad that we keep reading over and over again that cub fans beat up a sox fan. Come on people, all parties involved were drunk way beyound what they should have been. Why even serve people who get like that at a childs party. Not only is Robert Steele and his attackers affected by this but the home owners, the children that saw this happen, the familes of the "victim" and his attackers. People need to grwo up and learn how to act their ages.

... I try to run an news-ignorant operation here, but this was too good to pass up: Cubs fans accused of beating White Sox fan, says the Associated Press by way of the Chicago Tribune. Despite not mentioning what actually led to said assault, their trusty copywriter apparently deemed the baseball allegiances to be the most important element of what happened. This is called “baiting the reader,” more bluntly referred to as sensationalism, but more importantly just about the saddest commentary on the state of news in America yet for either of two reasons. ...

My deepest regret is that Ernie and Bert had to see this. Cubs Fans Continue to Prove Their Intelligence

Filed under: Cubs, White Sox, NL Central, MLB FansSometimes, it's difficult not to be a self-loathing Cubs fan. It takes a conscious effort to remind oneself that most Cubs fans are normal, upstanding citizens, and that they don't deserve the negative stereotypes the few idiots earn them. And then three Cubs fans do the following (via The Sporting Blog), and the only thing you can do is throw your arms in the air. Oh, and ...
