The Cubs hit the halfway point in the 2008 campaign on Saturday and last season they received contributions from just about every player on their 40-man roster. With all of the injuries over the past few weeks taking a toll, are there any players that could step in and give the team a lift as so many did a year ago? Reportedly Jim Hendry is attempting to strengthen his club and in order to do so, changes will have to be made to the big league roster. ... 30 June No kidding... Got to love this headline in the Tribune today. "Cubs may be in market for another pitcher" Way to go out on a limb on that one. I'll be they're looking for at least two.
