Earlier today I saw news posted on Deadspin that I had been dreading for some time now: Jay Mariotti has joined FanHouse as a blogger. Now Jay Mariotti has a national voice again, and the sports world is far worse off for it.

      Everyone should be worried.  This is the worst news in the sports world since the news that Brett Favre was thinking about retiring again.  Oh wait...that happened today too.

    Now the blogosphere is contaminated with yet another "pro" who thinks he can come over to the good side of the force.

    He isn't the first nor the last to figure out that print media is dead and blogs are drawing more readers.

      I totally agree.  And I think it is a trend we will probably see continue.  Hopefully those who make the transition in the future will be a little bit better and more respected than Mariotti.
