Another factor is that the media are baiting Phillips and the players with leading questions in some kind of poorly-veiled ploy to get the interviewees to let something slip about how Terrell Owens tried to murder Tony Romo or that Bobby Carpenter is addicted to crank. This hostility was apparent in TO's interviews last week, Phillips' post-game this week and even in this story with Romo. Simply, these guys just have to hold their tongue and lie to the media.
