As expected, the Dallas Cowboys will be cutting ties with cornerback Pacman Jones today, since February 9 is the first day on which teams may place players on waivers. Prior to the trading deadline, only players with less than four accrued seasons are eligible for waivers. Technically, every other team will have an opportunity to claim Jones’ contract. If he goes unclaimed, he’ll become an unrestricted free agent. Per the Dallas Morning News , the Cowboys are expected to gain $1 million in cap space by cutting Jones.
