... in Game 1 despite Erick Dampier grabbing only four. The big problem is 7-foot-1 center Tyson Chandler. He had seven of New Orleans' 15 offensive rebounds and several crowd-charging dunks as a result. Shoot better: The Mavs can't make nine field goals in a half and expect to compete. The Mavs shot 33.3 percent overall -- they ranked ninth in the regular season at 46.4 percent -- and made only 7-of-22 from behind the arc. I know this was Saturday, but this was shocking on many levels from J-Ho …. During his five NBA seasons, ...

Josh Howard likes to get high
Published 4/23/2008 by Chip's Moody Blues at Uwe Blog
... Absolutely nothing to complain about that I haven't already complained about (Rangers, Mavs) so let's talk pot. In a story Saturday, the Dallas Morning News delved briefly into Dallas Mav Josh Howard's marijuana use. For one, read the story. It's entertaining in that there are about a dozen partial quotes used. Case in point: When asked to quantify the extent of his use, he said he got "a little crazy" in high school but uses it "less" now and never during the season. Basically, the story states that pot smoking is alive well in ...

... I felt the talk was a glimpse into his character, which made him come off like the reasonable and lucid guy I felt I had talked to. The comments on that post (there has been some technical trouble, and almost all of them, sadly, were wiped out) were very reasonable and sober-minded. There was no big hoopla. People by and large thought Josh Howard seemed like an interesting and refreshingly honest guy. A year passed. On Saturday, an update to my story was in the Dallas Morning News (and subsequently on the Morning News ...

Joakim Noah Caught With Weed? You Don't Say!

... But no matter how fresh the air is around his career, it's the ganja cloud that's probably going to trail him for the next season or two. Now we know Noah has the monkey on his back, and he'll be chided, clowned and microscoped in the worst way. Even worse for him, he got bagged just weeks after Dallas Maverick's forward Josh Howard dry snitched on half the NBA about weed smoking, so chances are he'll be the front man on the next 'Outside the Lines' on drug use in professional sports. ...

Josh Howard is a gigantic moron
Published 9/16/2008 by noreply@blogger.com (Chip's Moody Blues) at Uwe Blog
Dallas Maverick Josh Howard has some pretty hot sports opinions about his country. "The Star Spangled Banner's going on right now and I don't celebrate that shit. I'm black." One, does Howard know about the Internet? Two, why couldn't the camera man pay more attention to the girls? If it's pot smoking, drag racing or generally acting like a chump, Howard is sure keeping it real. Holla.
