When Sean Avery hits the open market July 1, the Dallas Stars are expected to be one of the teams set to offer him a contract. According to the New York Post, Stars co-GM Brett Hull is high on Avery and will pursue him. Avery lived with Hull when they were teammates in Detroit. ... ahead. Just know that you may get your ass kicked by a very expensive pair of shoes - and that they'll probably match both my belt and my shirt. Look, the guy's not exactly a saint, but it's not like there hasn't been some extreme overreaction to his antics by the buttoned-up crowd. If this is the end of Sean Avery in New York, we'll miss his presence in the Big Apple. They just don't have the same attention to celebrity in places like Dallas.
