The only thing that worries me about him is his splits; he had been letting lefties hit him pretty well in 2007 (.865 OPS) and 2006 (.778 OPS). That reversed last year, oddly, but that could also just be statistical noise as Cruz missed some of the year with a strained oblique and didn’t get a whole season’s worth of innings.
