The New York Yankees rocked the “queen” Felix Hernandez and rocked him good. Starting for the Yankees was “Moose” Mike Mussina and he gave up 1 earned run on 7 hits in 7 innings of work for the win. LaTroy Hawkins pitched the 7th inning and gave up 1 hit and no runs. Edwar Ramirez pitched the 8th inning and gave up no runs on no hits. Jose Veras pitched a perfect 9th inning. The Yankees put the Mariners in check mate when they took their “queen” from them in the 6th inning. There were so many hitting stars of this game for the Yankees that you’re better off looking at the box score. Five Yankees had great hitting games but I’ll mention 3 of them. ...
