According to the NY Post, Yankee outfielder Johnny Damon says he is ready to return to action and DH at the very least (though the role of injured, unable to throw DH currently belongs to Jorge so they will have to work that one out between them). Joe Girardi was less aggressive, stating that Damon might do a rehab assignment starting Thursday and be ready for the Boston series. Once he can actually play the field, it will be interesting to see whether Gardner sticks or they feel he won’t get enough at bats and they send him down, or they have him split time w/ Damon and ...
