Judging from many responses around the blogoshere, the general consensus seems to be that Rick Reilly moving to ESPN is a big loss for SI. But perhaps, it just might be a big GAIN and the beginning of a newfound strategy to bring respectability back to the profession of sports journalism. Anyone who truly cares about the future of sports journalism can only hope..
