... So whose side am I on in a battle between two overhyped internet celebrities — Simmons’ side. Years ago, Simmons was one of the most entertaining sports writers on the Internet and was funny. Simmons isn’t nearly as good as he used to be, but he can still be a good read sometimes. Dane Cook was never funny. Ever. How a bad comedian gets to be a lead actor in Hollywood I’ll never figure out. Cook has also managed to be MLB’s spokesman in their commercials for the playoffs, which are horrible, much worse than Tommy Lasorda’s postseason commercials from a year ago. ...

For those of you who haven't seen the transcript of Dane Cook's ESPN Chat (this seems like a good time to ask, why the fuck was Dane Cook doing a chat on ESPN?) you have probably missed Dane taking some shots at The Artist Formerly Known As the BSG. Now this feud has huge implications for the Boston community because there is nobody that 20 something year old girls love more then Dane Cook, and their popped collar wearing boyfriends can't get enough of Simmons which makes this potentially the most divisive issue in the history of Boston. It would be less polarizing if Bill Buckner took a dump on the State House lawn. Luckily I have some significant contacts in the Boston entertainment community and I decided to ask them where they stood on Cook v. Simmons after the jump. ...
