Pork Rinds: saturated fat 2g, cholesterol 15mg...and a lot more tubby ####. Let’s end one debate before it really gets started. The Red Sox gave it a nice run for a while, but the Yankees are the team of the decade—again. I can just imagine what the scene in Red Sox Nation is about now. The ...

joeposnanski.com — The following is a screed about the Yankees payroll. If you are a Yankees fan uninterested in a screed about the payroll, don’t read it. You won’t enjoy it. Go out, buy a championship T-shirt, reminisce about this great team, enjoy the ... (more) The Yankees Payroll
Do the Red Sox Have any Money to Spend?
fenwaywest.com — Last season the Red Sox spent more than $20 million less on their payroll than they did in 2007. With the current economic climate the team does not have the income it had two years ago. NESN viewership is down meaning ad revenue is down. In addition John Henry's hedge fund is hemorrhaging ... David Wells calls Joe Torre 'such a tool'
Pinstripe Alley — ... no doctor, no coach, nobody. I had to have one of the clubhouse kids put an icepack on my back. Then I had back surgery a week later. If my back is healthy we win that World Series. The only problem is that he was bragging before that game about how he didn't need to exercise, unlike those workout freaks Nolan Ryan, Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens. He also goes on to say the Yankees are the team of the decade. (h/t to BTF)

Yankees = Team Of The Decade
slidingintohome.blogspot.com 16 days ago — There's been some discussion lately about who is the team of the decade. Some people are saying it's the Red Sox, others are saying it's the Yankees. Yesterday, David Wells tackled the question and Sam Borden did the same this morning, and like most rational human beings they both concluded that ...
Who is the Team of the Decade?
metspolice.com 18 days ago — The 2009 World Series is barely over and already people are debating who was the Team of the Decade. Semantics aside (the decade is technically 2001-2010), if we go by the accepted definition of 2000-2009 then it depends on how you define it. Do you want to base it on simply World Series titles? ...

As a writer, I'm trying to document all of my emotions at the time. One moment which really sticks out came with one out in the top of the ninth. I received a phone ...
The Yankees win the world series.
myteamrivals.typepad.com 18 days ago — So what! They buy the best players. They have the most money. They have the largest market. And baseball is a business not a sport. And Washington is still first in war, first in peace, and last in the National League. The sun will still rise tomorrow unless the ...

Team of the Decade?
fenwaywest.com 21 days ago — Quick, who was the team of the decade for the 1980's? Can't answer? That's because it doesn't matter. FYI the Dodgers are the only team that won the World Series twice in that decade. If the Yankees win the World Series they will claim they are the "team of the decade," as will the Phillies ...
