David Letterman interviewed Brett Favre last night. Two interesting points: 1.) Brett was announced as the cover athlete for Madden NFL 09 and 2.) Brett is still not ruling out a return to football even though he says he's retired (remember he hasn't filed the paperwork yet). Check out the interview.

I think this pretty much Guarantees an unhappy retirement. There are a few things that could happen here: A. Retired players don't really get injured so this just effectively ends the curse B. Since a non active player is on the cover the curse goes on hiatus until next year when a player who is still in the league goes on the cover C.
