David Stern Not a Fan of Homer Announcers
Published 3/5/2008 by Matt Watson at FanHouse
... Videos, Phoenix David Stern was in Portland yesterday, and as you can see, he was his usual acerbic self. He hit the nail on the head, though; it's ridiculous how over the top some homer announcers can be. It's one thing if you're a fan of the home team, but in this day and age of NBA League Pass where there's no rhyme or reason to which feed you get access to, it can be just plain annoying. David Stern Does Cannot Stand Homer Announcers Either
Published 3/5/2008 by Awful Announcing- at Awful Announcing
One of the biggest pet peeves I have is when local announcers just go above and beyond the acceptable level of Homerism. It's not as bad in the NBA as other leagues, but David Stern seems to think so.... "Some night you should watch the same game on the two telecasts."- David Stern That's hilarious. I love how he just jumps all over the guy right away. David Stern broadcasts the Blazers (Odenized)

Stern Hates on Homers, Claims Oden Is 11 Years-Old
Published 3/5/2008 at The Sporting Blog
... . I do always enjoy when we get to see that these chieftains actually have personalities and aren't just lifeless robots (although I'm fairly certain that Bud Selig is, in fact, the latter). And Stern almost, kinda made a funny there when he listed Greg Oden's age as 11. (HT: Odenized )

Finally! A Single Reason To Appreciate David Stern
Published 3/5/2008 by Brooks at SPORTSbyBROOKS
ODENIZED (via THE SPORTING BLOG ) has David Stern riffing on the Blazers telecast last night: Stern justifiably mocks homer announcers who embarrass themselves (and their teams) every night. He also breaks the news that Greg Oden is actually 11-years-old.
