Some college basketball observers believe Davidson can easily handle Gonzaga, who earn the Midwest's No. 7 seed despite being upset in the WCC playoffs. Led by Stephen Curry, son of former NBAer Dell Curry, the Southern Conference champion Wildcats won 26 games and were cover machines, going 20-10 ATS. They also faced UNC, Duke and UCLA during the year, so they are not scared here. ...Adam Morrison Reappears on Easter Weekend

In case you were curious where Adam Morrison and his 13% shooting percentage and total and utter disdain for defense have been hiding, well, it's probably Charlotte. His alma mater Gonzaga played and got beat by the Davidson Wildcats earlier today, ...Posted 3/24/2008 on Sports On My Mind
T he only thing you cannot say is that Davidson outplayed Georgetown. What you can say is that the officials - Tom O’Neill, Paul Janssen, Doug Sirmons - of the Georgetown-Davidson game cheated; the game was fixed; the officials are racist; all of the former. Call it what you want but those three officials did not want the Georgetown Hoyas to defeat the Davidson Wildcats. There was ...Sunday Honors: Two twelves, a ten...and Memphis survives

We're now down to the Sweet 16, and to say the least there are some surprises. Ten seed Davidson, after knocking off Georgetown in Raleigh, moves on to Detroit thanks in large part to guard Stephen Curry. The brutal non-conference schedule they played early in the season clearly has paid off for the Wildcats. Another set of Wildcats, these hailing from Villanova, will also be in the Motor ...Curry Spices Up Come Back As Davidson Shocks Hoyas 74-70

Sunday he scored 30 points including 5 treys, as he helped Davidson overcome a 17 point deficit to defeat the Georgetown Hoyas 74-70. By Will Brinson Billy Packer said that when his Wake team lost to Davidson, he went and hid in the dorm for a few days. Besides the fact that his homerism is unnecessary, albeit not unexpected, one could imagine that JT3 and Roy Hibbert share the same sentiments after losing to the Wildcats 74-70. Fortunately for Hibbert, whose Georgetown career is now over, you can't teach size, so ...Stephen Curry and Davidson College Stun the Georgetown Hoyas with a Sweet 74-70 Upset

There's only going to be two 2-seeds represented in the Sweet 16. West Virginia took care of Duke Saturday, and now tiny Davidson has sent the Big Hoyas home. You wouldn't have expected the Wildcats to have much of a chance with Stephen Curry cold in the first half - missed first 10 of 12, but Roy Hibbert hardly had any influence on the game, constantly burdened by foul trouble. ...Davidson Wildcats vs. Georgetown Hoyas

Storming The Floor wraps up the four early afternoon games. #10 Davidson 82, #7 Gonzaga 76 . Stephen Curry scored 40 on 8-11 three-point shooting in Raleigh, but it was the timely rebounding of Andrew Lovedale (13 boards to go with 12 points) that saved the Wildcats' bacon. Adam Morrison was in attendance, looking like the lead singer of a goth tribute band. No word yet on whether he ...Davidson, Western Kentcuky Believe in Miracles

10 three-pointers taken, eight of them made. That's only half the story of Stephen Curry's 40-point explosion for the Davidson Wildcats, who upset the Gonzaga Bulldogs just moments ago 82-76 for its first tournament win in 39 years. And shortly after that, Western Kentucky went all "Don't Faze Me, Bro" on fifth-seeded Drake, busting brackets everywhere for the 101-99 5-12 upset everyone knew ...LOLpicking the Friday 12:15 p.m. games
