The news of the Galaxy trading for Vanney doesn’t surprise many after the recent retirement of defender Ty Harden.  According to Ives, Harden is retiring after one season of MLS play due to his desire to go work for a charity orginization. Yeah, one of LA’s better defenders would rather go work for charity than play for the Galaxy. As for the Galaxy, it shows that they’re panicking. According to Ives, Ty Harden is retiring to work for a charitable organization, because he got burned out after only one year with the Galaxy.  Harden started out poorly, but by the end of the season had turned into a decent rookie defender.  Once again we see the flaw of the Developmental program, that a human’s need to make a living wage eventually takes precedence over the love of the game.  The league will have no option but to re-think this situation. ...
