 Dealing With 5 Links4
Was that the worst?  Worse than Bird to DJ?  Worse than Weber’s timeout or Evans getting picked off third in ‘87?  Was it worse than last year’s Game 5 against the poultry? Yes. Yes.  Yes and yes. Continue reading "Dealing With 5" [link]

For Detroit Red Wings fans, dealing with a harsh hangover
Published 6/3/2008 at Puck Daddy
... for this in the live blog, but say hello to Game 7. There doesn't need to be 10 reasons why the Penguins are bringing this back to Detroit. The Penguins have about 30 different storylines they can point to as evidence of fate or destiny or the Hockey Gods smiling upon them or any of that other garbage. Detroit forgot to close the coffin, and now the funeral's delayed. Enough of my yammering ... what do Red Wings fans think about The Day After? A match made in hell

Sorry folks. ...

A few posts today pretty much sum up my feelings on the game: First, Megan’s. I had a similarly bad night of sleep and I’m not sure how I made it through work on only about five hours of sleep after sleeping badly heading into Monday as well. Second, Bruce MacLeod has some rational thoughts on the game that are good. Third, IwoCPO’s got a great post here. 34.7 seconds has a sinister ring to it today. I don’t even want to contemplate the outcome of the series if the Pens force a Game 7. Horrific thoughts of ...

What a remarkable time to be a puckhead
Published 6/5/2008 at Puck Daddy
There are moments when the unparalleled thrill and immense delight of being a hockey fan during the Stanley Cup playoffs hits home. For Pittsburgh Penguins fans, they'll always have the memories of Miracle at 34.7 and Petr Sykora's heroics in triple overtime; those legends will become part of the bittersweet learning curve that will undoubtedly result in a Stanley Cup for the Steel City sooner rather than later. For Detroit Red Wings fans, seeing these warriors each take his spin with the Cup last night was exhilarating and, we imagine, a bit ...
