... You think these guys are trying in a preseason game? DeAngelo not only brought his mouth, but his razor. "I OWN U 85" was shaved onto the back of his and made sure the cameras took notice prior to kickoff. ...

DeAngelo Hall Sends Chad Johnson a Message: In His Hair

... Of course, as Mr. Irrelevant points out, Johnson torched Hall last night, so maybe shaving trash talk into hair isn't the wisest move for an NFL cornerback. ...

Head Shavings: The Falcons Still Get To Play Without Vick?
Published 8/28/2007 by Leitch at Deadspin
... That is to say: It didn't seem like the Atlanta Falcons, playing last night on another excellent "Monday Night Football" broadcast, didn't appear all that broken up. It's not that they didn't like Vick or anything, but when your job is to run out onto a football field and tackle people -- or avoid the large men who are attempting to tackle you -- what Nancy Grace is yammering about is the least of your concerns. ...
Maybe He Meant "88?"

When the Bengals play the Falcons, there's one certainty in the match-up: Chad Johnson and DeAngelo Hall exchanging blows. ESPN reported several bouts that featured Johnson sending autographed books to the Falcons, with Hall sending Johnson an autographed jersey featuring "I Own You" written on the back. Hall took the "owning" a bit further by shaving it in to the back of his dome for all to see. Fortunately, Brothers Mottram got a freeze frame of the artwork. Unfortunately, Johnson caught five passes for 85 yards and a touchdown - all in the first half. Couple this with the fact that the touchdown catch began with Hall covering Johnson, and ended with CJ shaking him right off of the screen before the reception and it wasn't one of Hall's best nights. Had DeAngleo just left the shave-job as an "88," ...

... , got punked by Ocho Cinco all night long and couldn't live up to the words on the back of his head. Johnson grabbed five balls for 83 yards and a touchdown in the first half before playing what we believe was just two second half series and giving way to the backups. There were specifically four plays where Johnson made Mr. Fall look like a ball boy. The first was a 16-yard comeback route on the Bengals' first offensive play of the game. Later came in the second quarter when Johnson again fooled Fall and got a 22-yard reception. Then he caught an 8-yard touchdown when he ran at Fall, faked right and cut inside, leaving the Falcons corner befuddled. Johnson later snagged a 31-yard reception when he turned Fall around thanks to a fantastically ran route. Mr. Fall should learn that to trash talk in this league, you've got to back it up. He obviously didn't. (High five: Mister Irrelevant )
