He's up against some stiff competition this week in Jets' DE Shaun Ellis, Packers' DT Corey Williams, Seatle DE Patrick Kerney, and the Cardinals' Antrel Rolle. ... can excel. Heck, Derek Anderson can come to SF if he wants. But whatever the case may be, this new offense can tear it up. I might be getting ahead of myself with one win, but this one win can set the tone for the rest of the season. The season is not lost. Maybe because I’m living off extreme hopes. But when the offense scores that much in one game, maybe it’s good to hope. If Tollner never came, I would be emo. But he came, he saw, and he made the offense score. Touchdown Tollner! Patrick Willis has had an amazing year, and it is just a blessing to watch him play every week. I have been thinking of getting a new 49ers jersey, and it had been tough on which one I should get. I don’t like Alex Smith, and Frank Gore needs another season to establish himself. But Patrick Willis, I think he will be a solid choic, for he just never stops getting better.

... Jamal Lewis has seen a rebirth passing 1,100 yards with 9 touchdowns. I certainly can't wait to see him get a face-to-face introduction with Bam Bam. Lewis has lost a step due to all his surgeries, and I'd expect Patrick Willis to have a couple phenomenal tackles behind the line of scrimmage this Sunday. To close on a different note, don't forget to vote for Patrick Willis for Defensive Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week. And of course, don't forget to vote for my Defining Moment prediction.

Heartiest congratulations to young Bam Bam, the only two-time winner of the GMC NFL Defensive Player of the Week. At the end of the regular season, five players will be nominated for GMC Defensive Player of the Year. If he is in fact nominated, we will definitely have to work overtime to get out the vote and get him the yearly honor. ...
