Brian Urlacher To Retire If Bears Don't Re-Do His Deal? - GridironFans.com

Brian Urlacher (neck, back) has reportedly suggested that he may consider retirement if the Bears don't follow through on upgrading his contract. If he proves injury, Urlacher could keep the $13 million in bonuses he got upon signing his six-year extension in 2003. He's skipping all the Bears' voluntary workouts, which already cost him $50,000, and threatening to sit out mandatory work as ...

Urlacher Threatens To Retire

If even half the rumors swirling around the NFL about Brian Urlacher's negotiation tactics are true, then maybe the Bears ought to reconsider their offense-building pledge for the draft and take a hard look at the middle linebacker class.

Dusty hopes to be a man of health
If Dusty Dvoracek were coming out of college this year, the Bears would like to think he'd be a first-round pick. More likely, he'd be a medical liability who wouldn't make it onto some teams' boards. But the Bears believe he's a first-round talent, ...
