Deron Williams had a great game. He is a great player that had a great game. Consider this my recognition of how great Deron Williams is as a player and was in Game 4. The most impressive play? After a key offensive rebound by Okur in overtime, Williams had an open three and a wide open lane. He could have taken a shot at either one. A lot of players would have done so. Williams grabbed the ...Balky Back Slows Bryant as Jazz Beat Lakers in Overtime

Deron Williams had 29 points and 14 assists as his Utah Jazz beat the L.A. Lakers 123-115 in overtime to even their second round series at 2-2. Carlos Boozer and Mehmet Okur got off to slow starts, combining to score just five points on 2-12 field goal shooting in the first half, but they finished with 14 and 18 points respectively. Andrei Kirilenko added 15 points and he played strong ...My Big Error

Okay, I finally get why Deron Williams has it in for Chris Paul. That rivalry not about draft proximity, or proving that his game is every bit as praiseworthy as Paul's wizardry. Over these last two games, I've come to realize what a scalding bad-ass Williams is. He's not just a big PG, or a guy who makes a good first pass, or a meat-and-potatoes offensive cog in Sloan's new machine. WilliamsBig Performance by Boozer Powers Jazz to Victory

Carlos Boozer scored nine straight points for Utah in less than three minutes in the fourth quarter to help the Jazz hold off a late Lakers' rally in game three of their second round series. He finished with 27 points and tied a playoff career-high with 20 rebounds in Utah's 104-99 win. The Jazz also got good efforts from Deron Williams (18 points, 12 assists) and Mehmet Okur (22 points, seven ...Spurs - Hornets use Strategy; LA - Utah Is Streaky; and More (gasp) Predictions

Game 3 LA - Utah Notes: Boozer finally brought game but even so seems far from the dominating PF we know him to be. I’ve been waiting for flashes of that brilliant hop skip move and head and shoulder fakes for either a teardrop semi hook or a power jam, but today we had fadeaways(?!) and 8 foot (well guarded) jumpers. Deron on the other hand was his usual brilliant self, but again not ...Jazz Point Guards - There Can Only Be One…

Ok so Chris Paul is really ballin right now. I don’t think theres any question anymore who the better point guardis between him and Deron Williams. Something funny happened during Kobe’s coronation last night — the Jazz forgot how to play defense. That and Deron Williams decided to disappear for stretches at time. While the aforementioned Williams did finish with a respectable stat line (25 points, 10 assists), nine of his points came in the last minute or so of the game when he FINALLY decided to shoot the ball.
