Derrick Rose Does His Best Clay Davis Impression Links8
By Will Brinson The following clip comes from the Memphis postgame press conference. Joey Dorsey is asked by a female reporter from a New Jersey newspaper (whose accent is the second funniest part of the clip) what he thinks of Derrick Rose. Clearly, Derrick has heard a lot of these type questions all season long, because his response indicates that he is tired of hearing these ... [link]

Rose Really Talks Like Boo-Boo
Published 4/6/2008 by Christmas Ape at SPORTSbyBROOKS
You’ll forgive the strained Outkast reference when you watch this clip of the Memphis postgame press conference, found by Will Brinson at THE SPORTING BLOG , in which Derrick Rose utters a little sotto voce profanity in response to a question about him to teammate Joey Dorsey. Amazing what those microphones can pick up. Of course, he might’ve heard the word getting bandied about by UCLA’s Darren Collison as he was owning him all night. Yeah, Collison doesn’t really do big games well.

... Rose — standing two seats over — to lay out a little hot-mic expletive. Now one has to wonder what Rose was afraid his teammate was going to say about him. "What do we think of him? I mean, once you get past the premature ejaculating and toenail eating, he's a pretty nice kid who can make things happen on the court. It's a good thing too, we almost forgot his Cabbage Patch Kid doll on the trip. That really would have put us at a disadvantage tonight." ... the mighty Blue Demons of DePaul?" Then, I would chain myself to his leg until he agreed. Oh well, at least Rose has the chance to continue the tradition of Chicago-bred point guards leading their teams to the NCAA Championship, just as the great Isiah Thomas did for the Indiana Hoosiers in 1981. Maybe Rose will have a successful pro career and then run an original NBA franchise into the ground as general manager, too. I hope it's the Celtics. -KD  {The Sporting Blog

While hilarious, this clip also displays a ton of humility on Rose’s part…simply put, it seems like the dude’s sick of his teammates being asked about him! HT: The Sporting Blog

Derrick Rose would just as soon you keep his name out of it
Published 4/7/2008 by Mike <info@cardchronicle.com> at Card Chronicle: Front Page Posts
... tonight, but the freshman still has a ways to go when it comes to mastering the age-old art of not audibly swearing into a live microphone during postgame press conferences. In Rose's defense, if my name was mentioned in a question posed to Joey Dorsey, then my initial reaction would likely be very similar. My secondary reaction, however, would involve about ten times more running and crying. Hat Tip: The Sporting Blog
