Detroit vs. Boston - Recap - May 22, 2008
Hamilton's 25 help Pistons derail Celtics, even Eastern finals BOSTON (AP) -- Home wins are no longer good enough for the Boston Celtics . The road to the NBA Finals in the Eastern Conference now goes through Detroit. Richard Hamilton bounced back from a poor series opener with 25 points, and the Pistons beat Boston 103-97 Thursday night, tying the conference finals at one game apiece and ...

Not Enough
RedsArmy.com - The Voice Of Celtics Fans — ... open 17-foot jumpers. At some point the C’s will realize they can’t leave him alone. -The dumbest play of the night was Rondo’s face guarding foul on Tayshaun Prince. Rondo litterly placed his hand on Prince’s face. To be honest, I’m not worried. The Celtics will win one of the next two games in Detroit. As we used to say back in the hood, I’ll bet my left nut on it. Box Score | Recap  ...

Detroit Takes Game 2 In Boston To Even Up The Series
FanIQ Blog — ... in route to 25 points on 9-16 shooting and 2-5 from three point land. Kevin Garnett added 24 points and 13 rebounds, while Paul Pierce lead the way with 26 points. However, 75 points from the "Big 3" was not enough to off set the balanced Piston attack as this series shifts to Detroit, where the Pistons have won 5 straight at home and Boston has yet to win on the road in these playoffs. THE CELTICS ACTUALLY LOST AT HOME
With Leather — ... NBA -- Wellllll looky here.  The Celtics are going to have to grow some balls and win on the road if they want to go to the Finals.  Boston got solid performances from all of the Big Three, but Detroit's Slightly Larger Than Average Five proved equal to the task as Detroit stole a road win at the Garden, 103-97.  Numbers numbers points ...

Not a bad day…
Leelanau Sports Guy's World at sportspig.com — ... Chauncey Billups looked like himself and the rest of the Pistons fell into their normal roles and it all added up to a 103-97 win over Boston to even the Eastern Conference Finals at 1 game each. The best part for me was that Boston’s “Big 3″ had great games, but no one else stepped up. The Pistons balance and depth showed it’s strengths and it was too much for the Celtics role players to handle. ...

sportsyenta.blogspot.com 5/23/2008 — Boston 97, Cleveland 92: Yeah, yeah it was a great display of offensive prowess by both Paul Pierce (41 points) and LeBron James (45 points). And it was a truly great game . But we all know this is the exception to the rule in the Eastern Conference. That's why I, for one, am not looking forward to the Boston-Detroit matchup in the Conference Finals. I can only take so many 85-81 games ...

Celtics (and Doc) Falter
shamrockheadband.blogspot.com 5/23/2008 — Normally losing to Detroit in Game 2 would not totally freak you out. But obviously this situation is far from normal. And that is why we may have seen the beginning of the end here tonight. The Celtics have shown no certifiable signs of beating a team of Detroit's standards away from their home court all month long. Of course that could change - but there is strong evidence to argue otherwise.
