A Cold Day In Hell?
Chris Yarbrough's Taking One For The Team — TSN is reporting that New Jersey Devils netminder Martin Brodeur will be out for the next three to four months after having surgery to repair a torn bicep tendon in his elbow. This is a huge blow for the Devils who were already starting to come back down to Earth after a hot start in the Eastern Conference. Could this pave the way for a Nikolai Khabibulin to New Jersey trade, or are the Devils going to simply write off this season? I really do not see a way for the Devils to keep pace in the Atlantic Division without making a move to shore up their goaltending. He left the arena without talking to the media and was listed as day-to-day by the team. "When you have a Marty Brodeur as a goaltender and he's out for a ...

The Races are Going Down to the Wire This Year
Top Cheddar: sports, pop culture, and halfers — [image] The world has been flipped upside down.  There is confusion and concern everywhere.  In these desperate times, people are searching for individuals who can lead the way.   Without someone like Marty Brodeur around for the next 3-4 months , who is going to be the backbone of your hockey pool? This has been the craziest season in fantasy sports history.  Whatever happened to a sure thing?  Tom Brady played less than a quarter of football this year.  Peyton Manning is banged up and is having his worst statistical season since he was a rookie.  Even LaDanian Tomlinson has a bad toe and is only the 6th most productive fantasy back this year! ...
