While watching Edinson Volquez dominate the Cubs on Wednesday (7 IP, 4 H, 10K) I couldn't help but think back to 2003. That was the last time I can remember seeing two young pitchers on the same team dominate opposing hitters in such a fashion. Of course, those two pitchers in '03 were Kerry Wood and Mark Prior . At 24, that kind of usage in a game that was safely in hand naturally conjures up memories of the ruined arms of Kerry Wood and Mark Prior.
