One of the worst-kept secrets surrounding the 2006 draft was that Titans offensive coordinator Norm Chow wanted to draft Matt Leinart over Vince Young, and most believed that coach Jeff Fisher felt the same way. Owner Bud Adams, a Texas native, wanted Young and got his man. That's an awkward way for any coordinator-QB relationship to start, and its inevitable end came Wednesday when Chow was fired .

Titans screw up in firing Chow Jeff Fisher is typically a very good communicator who excels in personal and media relations, but he and the Titans have made another public relations gaffe with the way they fired Norm Chow. It’s about as bad as the way they locked Steve McNair out of the Titans’ training facility two years ago. Fisher didn’t fire Chow face-to-face, but by telephone. The seat in Chow’s old office was still warm when his replacement was hired. Just a few days, that was pretty quick work. Almost seems that a few things were prearranged. Nah, couldn’t be! Just think this through. Vince Young destroys TrOJie dreams at the Rose Bowl. Then he paves the way for probably one of the greatest OC ever to coach the college game back to Westwood by essentially wanting him out of the picture at the Music City. Well that's according to some speculation out of TN. Anyway so who has to pull the trigger to make this once "pipe dream" possible? That would be Trojan alum Jeff Fisher, the head coach of Tennessee.
