... LoHud calls the divison race over, and in the process elicits a question from this SF: want some cheese with that whine, Pete? Schedule idiosyncracies happen for all teams, and while I understand the frustration with this week's arrangement, every team has something to complain about. Earlier this year the Sox went to the West Coast for a seven game trip, flying cross-country after a Sunday night affair (remember that A-Rod homer?), played the A's the next night (and three more), went to Arizona for a weekend series, then flew back to Boston for a short six game homestand, then spent another nine games in Atlanta and the West Coast immediately thereafter. That's two west coast trips sandwiching a compact homestand, a ridiculous scheduling job. Surely that's a worse fate than having a Monday night game before a Tuesday night game while your opponent gets a day off, ...
