Terrell Brandon is a Man of Action
Published 2/23/2008 by Jack Brown at Deceptively Quick
The city of Portland loves Terrell Brandon. Why not? He's from here, loves it here, and seems to be a very good human being. Injuries ended his All-Star NBA career too soon, but the guy doesn't need basketball to be a success. These days he plays lots of tennis, has investments in the community, and organizes cool events like a high school basketball tournament on MLK Day. Add crime-fighting to that list. Wow.

From KVAL in Portland via You Been Blinded. Bobby Hayes, 41, was charged with theft by extortion and attempted theft by extortion. Police suspect he wrote ...

Hero: Terrell Brandon Foils Extortion Attempt
Published 2/25/2008 by TheBigLead at The Big Lead
Bobby Hayes, a degenerate, left this note in the mail for the 65-year-old mother (via KVAL) of former NFL cornerback Anthony Newman: “U don’t know me, but I know U. I want 10K in cash in a black bag set next to your garage door Friday night. If you tell the police and try to be a hero you will be responsible for the murder of your whole family.” Clearly, a failsafe plan. Much more brilliant than the plot to Inside Man. Except that former NBA point guard Terrell Brandon decided to play hero. He placed a crisp one dollar bill in the ...
