Kershaw Kerfuffle Overshadowing Kids?
Sons of Steve Garvey —
Everybody is going nuts about Clayton Kershaw, who got promoted to big league camp today. And for good reason—if there's a pitch that cemented the hype, here it is.
I myself am trying not to drool over the prospect of a killer young left-handed phenom on the Dodgers. We have to remember he's not even 20 years old yet and there are too many cautionary examples of injury-prone former hotshots around the league. Clearly the Dodgers understand he must not be rushed.

... was a left-handed pitcher in this organization with only a fastball and curve and he was pretty good," said Torre. "But I don't want to put that kind of pressure on him. He's not too far away from the changeup. He's got it; it's a matter of locating it."
More importantly, what does Vin Scully think of this young arm? The commentary above should speak for itself.
