Dodgers general manager Ned Colletti felt little consolation Wednesday night following his team's defeat in the National League Championship Series, despite the fact that he will bring most of his club back intact for 2010. The wound was still too fresh, the disappointment too intense.

Dodgers need to acquire an ace
Nova Fantasy Sports Headline Newsfeed — Update: MLB.com  reports that Andre Ethier believes the Dodgers need to acquire an ace in order to get back to the World Series. Fantasy Impact: The Dodgers have lost back-to-back NLCS against the Phillies while the Phillies got ace-like performances from Cole Hamels in the 2008 NLCS and from Cliff Lee this year. Meanwhile, the Dodgers have a potential future ace in 21 year old Clayton Kershaw, but too much was expected of him this year. If the Dodgers can acquire an ace like Roy Halladay via a trade or John Lackey in the free agent market, they'll be able to slide Kershaw and the rest of their starters down and be much better off.
