colts girl Spygate just might be the answer!!!! But, who knows with Belicheat and the owners of the cheatriots will find other ways of winning their fake super bowls and the rest of this season. I say let them believe that they will have a 16-0 record, because come play off time, we will see who comes out on top!!!!! We all certainly know it won't be the cheaters and liars. And one last thing, someone needs to smack Chris Collinsworth in the mouth. He thinks and says that they are the best in the NFL. Like I have said in my other comments to the idiots in N.E. They haven't played any "tough teams" except the good ole Indianapolis Colts!!!!! Just got lucky this past Sunday -
chone Ken Tremendous is pretty much the man.-
MDS I agree that Ken Tremendous is the man in most respects, but I also think Don Shula is on that short list of people who have accomplished so much in their fields that if they want to express an opinion in that field, their opinion deserves respect, even if we don't agree with it. In the NFL, that short list would have to include Shula, Jim Brown, Chuck Bednarik, Jerry Rice, maybe a few others. That doesn't mean you have to agree with everything those people say, but it does mean that you should disagree respectfully, not by calling them "turds."-
hero to most As a society, we don't respect our elders enough. This much we know.
Although according to T. Soprano, "those who want respect give respect." When Shula says that the Pats deserve an asterisk, he should know that it will sound like sour grapes ... and incur the wrath of the Ken Tremendouses of the world.

RedBaron This is not the way to preserve the '72 Dolphins' legacy. In fact, it's the opposite. -
mmiracle Why did Shula feel the need to say anything? He hasn't in years past when teams were approaching perfection. Hell they aren't even close.
Don you are a bitter old dude. Why don't you and Dan sell some Hurricane windows or Leather Gloves and STFU.

... have that attached to your accomplishments. They've got it," Shula told the Daily News Monday. "Belichick was fined $500,000, the team was fined $250,00 and they lost a first-round draft choice. That tells you the seriousness or significance of what they found. I guess you got the same thing as putting an asterisk by Barry Bonds' home run record. I guess it will be noted that the Patriots were fined and a No.1 draft choice was taken away during that year of accomplishment.'' Source: New York Daily News Related: ...

Don Shula Says Patriots Perfect Record Should Have Asterisk
Published 11/6/2007 at SPORTSbyBROOKS
SHULA: PATS' PERFECT RECORD SHOULD HAVE AN ASTERISK Rather than scare out anything interestingly current, Gary Myers of the NEW YORK DAILY NEWS rouses the NFL's most famous assisted-livers, the 1972 Dolphins, for a throwaway column featuring an embarrassingly embittered Don Shula. Shula tells Myers that because of the Patriots' illegal video activity record by the NFL earlier this season, if New England goes undefeated there should be an asterisk affixed to the mark . If former Dolphins coach Don Shula had his druthers, a Patriots squad standing undefeated at season's end would be accompanied not only by the unbeaten Dolphins of '72, but by an asterisk for cheating as well."The Spygate thing has diminished what they've accomplished," Shula told NFL columnist Gary Myers of the New York Daily News ."I guess you got the same thing as putting an asterisk by Barry Bonds' home-run record," Shula added. "Obviously, he's one of the most well respected men that have ever been in this game. I can't control what opinions he has. All I can do is take it upon myself to think about what my job is, and my job is to play football and help this team keep on winning. That's all I can really focus on. I can't control opinions. It's unfortunate that he had some of those things to say. I wish he didn't say them. So be it. People can express ...

If you missed it, NFL coaching legend Don Shula has jumped on the bus to Patriots Bashtown, saying in a New York Daily News article this morning that "the Spygate thing has diminished anything they have accomplished," including a run at a perfect record this season. From the article : The Dolphins were 14-0 in the regular season and 3-0 in the playoffs, including the Super Bowl. If the Patriots don't lose, they will finish 19-0.
