Old players coming back to the NBA is nothing new. In fact, the trend can be traced back to George Mikan, who was just the first of several members of the 50 Greatest Players List who left the game for at least one full season only to resume their playing careers.

    How about Vince Carter?  He took off the season and a half before that Nets trade.
