Willis will wear No. 21, and he said the reason is that was Deion Sanders’ number. “I knew I couldn’t get 35,” Willis said, referring to the number he wore in Florida. “That’s the no-hitter man, Verlander. I respect that. When they started reading off numbers, they mentioned 21, and I said, `That’s it.’ ”
