The Trenton Thunder brought the real, “BIG” bats and DESTROYED the Reading Phillies by a score of 15-3. Starting for Trenton was Phil Coke and he pitched a great game giving up 1 earned run on 2 hits in 5 innings of work for the win. Replacing Coke was Michael Gardner and he gave up 1 run on 2 hits in 1 inning but the run he gave up was unearned because of a throwing error by third baseman Kevin Russo. Eric Wordekemper pitched the 8th inning and gave up 2 earned runs on 3 hits. Zachary Kroenke pitched a scoreless 9th inning giving up 1 hit.

The hittings stars of the game worth mentioning for the Thunder were short stop Ramiro Pena, center fielder Austin Jackson, left-fielder Edwar Gonzalez, right-fielder Jose Tabata and third baseman Kevin Russo. Pena went 2 for 3 with 1 run scored. Jackson went 2 for 5 with 1 run scored and 7, count em, 7 unbelievable RRRR BEEE EYES!!! because of a huge, who is it really, where are we going for dinner, who is that guy posing for the shot, grand ole, GRRRRRAND SLAM! Gonzalez went 3 for 6 with 2 runs scored and 1 rbi. Tabata went 3 for 6 with 2 runs scored and 4 rbi’s along with a see ya later, what do you want to do with your life like Twisted Sister, Here We Go Again by White Snake, home, run, BOMB!!!! Russo went 4 for 5 with 2 runs scored and 2 rbi’s.

The Tampa Yankees lost to the Vero Beach Devil Rays by a score of 10-6. Starting for Tampa was pitching sensation Eric Hacker and he wasn’t so sensational giving up 7 earned runs on 11 hits in 5 innings of work for the loss. Replacing Hacker to start the 6th inning was Philip Bartleski and he pitched 2 scoreless innings on 3 hits. Following Bartleski was Edgar Soto and he gave up 3 earned runs on 3 hits in 2 innings. The hitting stars for Tampa worth mentioning were second baseman Damon Sublett, catcher Kyle Anson and left-fielder Tim Battle. Sublett went 3 for 4 with 2 runs scored and 1 rbi along with a home run. Anson went 2 for 3 with 1 run scored and 2 rbi’s along with a home run and Battle went 1 for 4 with 1 run scored and 1 rbi along with a home run.

Class A

The Charleston RiverDogs brought the “real” BIG bats and DOMINATED the Greenville Drive by a football score of 20-2. Starting for the RiverDogs was Dellin Betances and he gave up 2 runs on on 2 hits in 4.1 innings but the run he gave up was unearned because of a dropped foul pop error by third baseman Walter Ibarra. Craig Heyer followed Betances and he pitched 1.2 scoreless innings for the win. Ryan Zink pitched a scoreless 7th inning giving up 1 hit. Gabe Medina pitched the 8th and 9th innings and gave up no runs.

The hitting stars of the game worth mentioning were basically the whole starting lineup but the four that stand out are pinch hitter Chase Odenreider, first baseman Brian Baisley, right-fiedler David Williams and third baseman Walter Ibarra. Odenreider went 1 for 3 with 1 run scored and 2 rbi’s along with a gigantic, humongous, I can’t believe it’s not butter, home, run, BOMB!!! Baisley went 5 for 6 with 4 runs scored and 7, that’s right, I said, 7, RRRR, BEEEE, EYES!!! along with 2, big, farther than far, I can’t believe women actually like me, I play Ninendo Wii until all hours of the morning, I never do my home work but still pass with A’s, I’ve never seen some one dominated a game like this, it must be Michael Jordan or Babe Ruth in disguise, home, run, BAAAAAAHHHMBS!!! Williams went 2 for 5 with 2 runs scored and 3 rbi’s and Ibarra went 2 for 5 with 2 runs scored and 3 rbi’s
