The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees beat the Indianapolis Indians by a score of 5-1. Starting for Scranton was Dan Giese and he gave up 1 earned run on 6 hits in 7 innings of work for the win. His era is now an unbelievable 1.01. David Robertson pitched a perfect 8th inning and Chris Britton pitched a scoreless 9th inning giving up 1 hit. The hitting stars of the game for Scranton were right-fielder Jason Lane and third baseman Cody Ransom. Lane went 1 for 4 with 1 run scored and 3 rbi’s along with a big, awesome, do you believe in miracles like the USA did in 1980, huge, home, run, BOMB!! Ransom went 1 for 3 with 1 run scored and 2 rbi’s along with a massive, high powered, bigger than big, bigger than Mr. Universe, home, run, BAAAHMB!!

The Trenton Thunder beat the Reading Phillies by a score of 5-2. Starting for the Trenton Thunder was Jason Jones and he pitched a great game giving up 1 earned run on 6 hits in 6 innings of work for the win. Replacing Jones to start the 7th inning was Anthony Claggett and he gave up 1 earned run on 3 hits in 2 innings of work. Bo Hall pitched the 9th inning for the save giving up 1 hit. The hitting stars of the game for Trenton worth mentioning were short stop Ramiro Pena, DH Austin Jackson, center fielder Colin Curtis and left-fielder Edwar Gonzalez. Pena went 2 for 5 with 1 run scored. Jackson went 1 for 3 with 1 run scored. Curtis went 1 for 3 with 1 run scored and 2 rbi’s along with a big, farther than far with a smokin in the boys room like Motley Crue even though they didn’t make the original version, longer than long, most powerful, who can it be now like Men At Work, most dangerous, home, run, BAAAAHMB!! Gonzalez went 1 for 3 with 1 rbi.

The Tampa Yankees shut out the Daytona Cubs by a score of 5-0. Starting for Tampa was Christian Garcia and he gave up no runs on 2 hits in 6 innings of work along with an amazing 10 strikeouts for the win. Replacing Garcia to start the 7th inning was Kevin Whelan and he pitched 2 scoreless innings. Josh Schmidt pitched a scoreless 9th inning giving up 1 hit. The hitting stars for Tampa were second baseman Damon Sublett, third baseman Mitch Hilligoss, DH James Cooper and center fielder Seth Fortenberry. Sublett went 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored. Hilligoss went 4 for 5 with 1 run scored. Now that’s a lot of hits. Cooper went 1 for 4 with 1 run scored and Fortenberry went 1 for 4 with 1 run scored and 3 rbi’s along with a big, huge, look at me pose as I hit the long ball, monster, home, run, BOMB!

The Charleston RiverDogs beat the Greenville Drvie by a score of 5-1. Starting for the RiverDogs was Lance Pendleton and he gave up no runs on 1 hit in 6 innings of work for the win. Replacing Pendleton to start the 7th inning was Adam Olbrychowski and he gave up 2 runs on 3 hits in 1.1 innings but one of the runs he gave up was unearned because of a fielding error by shortstop Carmen Angelini. Chace Vacek pitched .1 of an inning and Jonathan Ortiz pitched a perfect 1.1 innings for his 13th save. The hitting stars of the game worth mentioning for the RiverDogs were center-fielder Austin Krum, third baseman Brandon Laird and catcher Jesus Montero. Krum went 3 for 5 with 2 runs scored and 1 rbi. Laird went 2 for 5 with 1 rbi and Montero went 1 for 4 with 2 rbi’s.
