The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees won a close game over the Indianapolis Indians by a score of 5-4 in 10 innings. Starting for Scranton was Kei Igawa and he gave up 4 runs on 5 hits in 6 innings of work for the no decision but 1 run was unearned because of a throwing error by first baseman Wilson Betemit. The Trenton Thunder lost to the Altoona Curve by a score of 5-4. Starting for the Trenton Thunder was Chase Wright and he gave up 1 earned run on 5 hits in 6.2 innings of work for the no decision. The hitting stars of the game for the RiverDogs were center-fielder Austin Krum and third baseman Brandon Laird. Krum went 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored and 1 rbi along with a big, holy moley, this can’t be happening, I love baseball, humongous type of home, run, BOMB!
