The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees lost to the Syracuse Chiefs by a score of 8-5. Starting for Scranton was Kei Igawa and he gave up 4 earned runs on 5 hits in 5 innings of work for the no decision. Replacing Igawa to start the 6th inning was Steven Jackson and he pitched 2 scoreless innings giving up 2 hits. Following Jackson was J.B. Cox and he gave up 4 earned runs on 4 hits in 2 innings for the loss. The hitting stars of the game for Scranton worth mentioning were second baseman Cody Ransom who went 3 for 4 with 2 runs scored and 1 rbi along with a home run and third baseman Eric Duncan who went 2 for 4 with 1 run scored and 3 rbi’s along with a home run.

Double A

The Trenton Thunder won easily over the New Hampshire Fisher Cats by a score of 6-0. Starting for Trenton was Phil Coke and he was great pitching 7 scoreless innings giving up 2 hits along with 6 strikeouts for the win and has an era of 2.86. Replacing Coke to start the 8th inning was Anthony Claggett and he pitched 2 perfect innings and has an era of 1.06. The hitting stars of the game for Trenton worth mentioning were short stop Ramiro Pena, right-fielder Edwar Gonzalez and second baseman Reegie Corona. Pena went 1 for 5 with 2 rbi’s. Gonzalez went 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored and 2 rbi’s along with a high, it is far, it is….. GAAAAAHHN like a John Sterling, She’s Got Bette Davis Eyes by Kim Carnes type of home, run, BAAAHMB!! The Charleston RiverDogs lost to the Augusta GreenJackets by a score of 5 -2. Class A Short-Season

The Staten Island Yankees won a high scoring game over the Mahoning Valley Scrappers by a score of 11-9. Starting for Staten Island was Brandon Braboy and he gave up 4 runs on 6 hits in 4.1 innings of work for the no decision but 1 run was unearned because of a fielding error by right fielder Jack Rye. Replacing Braboy was Jacinto Gonell and he gave up 2 earned runs on 1 hit in 2.1 innings for the win. The hitting stars of the game for Staten Island worth mentioning were short stop Walter Ibarra, center fielder Raymond Kruml and third baseman Mike Lyon. Ibarra went 2 for 5 with 3 runs scored and 3 rbi’s along with big, long, towering I was a car hop,
