The Tampa Yankees lost to the Jupiter Hammerheads by a score of 7-6. Starting for Tampa was Michael Dunn and he did not pitch well giving up 7 runs on 6 hits in 4.2 innings of work for the loss but 2 runs were unearned because of a throwing error by third baseman Mitch Hilligoss. Repacing Dunn to was Philip Bartleski and he pitched 2.1 scoreless innings. Following Bartleski was Wilkins Arias and he pitched a perfect 8th inning. The hitting stars of the game worth mentioning for the Tampa Yankees were second baseman Luis Nunez, right fielder Andres Perez and third baseman Mitch Hilligoss. Nunez went 2 for 4 with 1 run scored. Perez went 2 for 4 with 1 run scored and 1 rbi along with a home run and Hilligoss went 2 for 4 with 1 run scored and 1 rbi.

Class A

The Charleston RiverDogs won a low scoring game over the Kannapolis Intimidators by a score of 2-0. Starting for the RiverDogs was Jairo Heredia and he pitched a great game pitching 6 scoreless innings giving up 2 hits along with 6 strikeouts for the win. Replacing Heredia to start the 7th inning was Craig Heyer and he pitched 2 scoreless innings. Following Heyer to start the 9th inning was Jonathan Ortiz and he pitched a scoreless inning giving up 1 hit along with 2 strikeouts for his 24th save. The hitting stars of the game for the RiverDogs worth mentioning were third baseman Bradley Suttle who went 2 for 3 with 2 rbi’s and right-fielder Austin Krum who went 1 for 3 with 1 run scored.
