The Trenton Thunder won a close scoring game over the New Hampshire Fisher Cats by a score of 3-1. Starting for the Thunder was Chase Wright and he gave up 1 earned run on 5 hits in 7 innings of work for the no decision. Replacing Wright to start the 8th inning was Mark Melancon and he pitched 2 scoreless innings giving up 1 walk for the win. His era is 1.93. The hitting stars of the game for Trenton worth mentioning were first baseman Chris Malec who went 1 for 3 with 1 run scored and 1 rbi and DH Colin Curtis who went 2 for 3 with 2 rbi’s.

Replacing De La Rossa was Ryan Zink and he pitched 1.1 scoreless innings giving up 1 hit. Following Zink to start the 8th inning was Jonathan Ortiz and he gave up 1 earned run on 1 hit in 2 innings for the win. The hitting stars of the game for the RiverDogs worth mentioning were second baseman Justin Snyder who went 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored and 2 rbi’s along with a home run and catcher Jeff Nutt who went 2 for 4 with 1 rbi.
