Today's adventure in why life sucks for Memphis Grizzlies fans.
The Grizzlies' GM is leaving to run the new D-League Reno franchise. Yes, the Gateway Grizzlies minor-league baseball team. Wait. What? Yeah, we're confused, too. Don't worry, D-League fans (both of you). We're on the trail.

... the wide-open scheme. CDR appears well suited to fill a role in this schematic. Further, he has some familiarity with an up-tempo and loosely structured system, so his learning curve may be flatter than most rookies', and he could perhaps contribute to a turnaround right away. There's plenty more there on CDR, and how this pick would be a welcome antidote to the evils of modern-day scouting. Oh, and he quotes me. All in all, a wonderful read and a noble cause. On a related note, Draft Express has an interview up with CDR, getting into what Douglas-Roberts is doing to ...

... and might do something ballsy like trade up in the draft to get him or even make a run at Brandon Rush. If we’re going to get CDR we’re going to have to play ball and outbid and outsmart other teams, he’s not going to fall in our laps like Danny Granger did a few years back. The tournament might have upped his stock beyond our reach. In a conversation between CDR and Draft Express he also mentions how the Nets are interested and if that happens, Richard Jefferson could be expendable. ...

And since there aren't going to be all-around studs around in the 20s, you might as well take a guy who can score off the bench and spot up on the perimeter like Anderson, defense be damned. He's only gonna play 20 minutes a game, tops, anyway... OR, just take Bill Walker or something. - Great interview from the great DraftExpress with CDR, who doesn't appear to be ...

Looks like the Wolves are looking at up to 10 guys to bring in for their top pick. While it's great that they're not ruling anybody out, given the large pool of "2nd tier" prospects, it also indicates that the Wolves may be looking to move down.
