Jay-Z, Thirty Something
It is widely known that Jay-Z is part owner of the New Jersey (soon-to-be Brooklyn) Nets. Well, word has it that Jay-Z has now been offered a senior-level front office position with the New Jersey Nets. According to this rumor, Jay-Z is making sure that the position has real power before he decides and I would also be interested in knowing what Jay would be involved in. I think it ...

The Celtics beat the Pistons tonight, 88-79, in a game that almost made you forget all the bullshit of the last couple weeks and come scurrying back to the fold of championship dreams. All of a sudden it's disturbingly easy to feel good about this team again: such is the way of the 2008 Celtics' postseason, apparently. If this wasn't a dominating performance it was certainly both an assured and assuring one. The Celtics barely ever trailed and worked with backbreaking efficiency: Garnett had 26 and 9, Pierce had 22 and Rondo even pitched in 5 steals for good measure. Ray Allen we won't talk about. Lottery aftermath E-mail Written by SG Wednesday, 21 May 2008 From Chad Ford/ESPN: Look for a number of this year's lottery picks to be for sale the next few months. From Jerry Zgoda/Star Tribune: McHale called Beasley the draft's most NBA-ready talent, a player whose size and shooting, scoring and rebounding gifts most ...

Daaaaa Bulls

Image is from the Chris Farley page. So there's hope again in Chi-town, and perhaps rightfully so. Did any team experience more disappointment than these Bulls? You could argue for the Suns or Hornets, but at least those teams made the playoffs. You could argue for the Warriors, but we all know they just got the short end of the stick on that one. There were calls for the Bulls to win the East this season or at least be a top three presence in the conference (guilty). Even at worst, they weren't expected to fall out of the playoff hunt. But they did, and fast. Saying they sunk like a lead balloon doesn't even cover the half of it. I could hypothesize with you ...
