Islander fans know how to rawk
Published 12/11/2007 by PostmanR at The Postmen // A Sports Blog // Chicago, IL.
Usually in these drunken fan videos, you’re all like: “Ha ha, look at what this guy is doing, how embarrassing!” You know, get a few jollies in and go on with your day. But not this time around, blog consumers. This guy seriously brings the rock like you’ve never seen. He’s got the stage presence of Bono coupled with the dance moves of Bell Biv Devoe. For a second here, I saw a vision of Freddie Mercury. Tags: Bell Biv Devoe, Bono, Freddie Mercury, New York Islanders

DRUNK HOCKEY FAN + QUEEN = AWESOME
Published 12/11/2007 at With Leather - Sports news and gossip for your impressionable young children
There's simply more capital-A Awesomeness in this video than I can possibly measure with words.  The 1980s mullet alive and well at an Islanders game... the new Internet star only knowing the words to the chorus... the tragedy of his spilled beer... the Amy Winehouse dance moves.  If this YouTube doesn't go from 1400 views to over a million by the end of the month, I'm going to be severely disappointed in our society.  Because if we can't laugh at drunk lip-syncing hockey fans, who can we laugh at? ...Well, yes.  "Retards" and "monkeys in clothes" are both good ...

Ah, the SEC finally wins the Heisman... (HT:  Loser With Socks) I really don't give a damn about the ESPN Tostitos Allstate Heisman trophy.  It's fun to see one of your guys in the discussion, and my great-grandpappy tells me it's fun to see one of your guys win it, even if the moving pictures don't have any sound.  Nevertheless, the voting is driven by ESPN.  In fact, The Worldwide Leader could take all the accounting work out of this and just have Corso and Herbstreit choose the winner.  For the record, I would have voted for Dennis Dixon; any player who takes his team to #2 in the country, ...

Double-T Nation News: There are a couple of items around the interwebs that I thought might interest you on a Wednesday morning. That's right, our very own Graham Harrell, with McCoy 3rd and Chase Daniel 4th. ...

Sabres/Islanders Gameday
Published 12/12/2007 by eSabre at 3rd Man In
After that frustrating loss to the Bruins on Monday, the Sabres will look to get back on the right track tonight against the New York Islanders. Ryan Miller appears to be ready to go after injuring his ankle Monday night. Jochen Hecht is also expected to play after sitting out practice yesterday. Face off is at around 7:07 at HSBC Arena. MSG has the coverage. In the spirit of being relevant, this Islanders fan is ready for a win tonight: Thanks to The Postmen for that.

Thursday, Dec 13 Blog

Various Sports Items on our Thursday blog that you might enjoy. Item #1 Is that Scouts, Inc has decided to rate every QB in the NFL, and Here is the top 20 … The hardest part was deciding how to rank them. Do we look at just this year? Do we look at their careers and their body of work? We decided it would be a mixture of the two, that we couldn't completely ignore a veteran with a history of great success having a subpar year. About the only thing we agreed on was that Tom Brady was No. 1 and Peyton Manning was No. 2. From there, the first debate came, with some feeling that Tony Romo was right there with those two, but we ...

Nolan confident Bergeron, Gallant rift is over

It's never strange to see a fight in hockey. Players from opposing teams knuckle up on the ice and engage in verbal sparring on a regular basis. When a spat occurs between individuals from the same team, however, the results are much more unsettling.
