The Philadelphia Eagles have announced the acquisition of fullback Luke Lawton in a trade with the Colts. Indianapolis received a conditional 2009 draft choice, which probably means the Eagles will get a chance to try Lawton out through training camp and the preseason and will only have to give compensation to the Colts if Lawton makes the roster. It should be very heated as none of these players has had the chance to perform in the role yet. Even with his minimal experience, Lawton has the most out of all of them.
My guess? The player who gets the role is the player who can also help the team in other ways (i.e. special teams).
