EAGLES AGREE TO TERMS WITH DEMPS

The Philadelphia Eagles announced today that they have agreed to terms with rookie safety Quintin Demps, making Demps the first Eagles draft pick — and one of the first draft picks in the league — to reach a contract agreement. Philadelphia took Demps in the fourth round of last month’s draft. At Texas-El Paso Demps had 17 interceptions, the most among players in the 2008 draft class. The Eagles 4th round pick out of UTEP signed a 4 year deal yesterday. Quintin Demps is the first Eagle to sign his contract, and he is ready to work. With Brian Dawkins turning 35 this year, it was no secret that they had to look for a FS to groom behind Dawk.
